Description:

Wood Patel seeks an experienced Survey Project Manager to join their Phoenix, AZ team. The successful candidate will lead surveying projects from proposal through completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. This role requires strong technical surveying knowledge, proven project management experience, and leadership skills to mentor team members while maintaining client relationships and managing project deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project scopes, prepare cost proposals, and negotiate contracts.
  • Plan and manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing allocations.
  • Lead field and office survey teams in performing land, boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop surveying staff.
  • Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with standards and client requirements.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships; participate in business development activities.
  • Prepare survey reports, documentation, and final deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and clients to ensure project success.
  • Utilize Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D for project design and data management.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) in Arizona.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional land surveying experience.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Public Land Survey System (PLSS)
  • Arizona Boundary Survey Minimum Standards
  • Municipal survey requirements
  • ALTA/NSPS Minimum Standards
  • Proficiency in Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience managing multi-discipline survey projects.
  • Business development and client management experience.
